Product Description

Designed for countertop use in small offices, break rooms, and retail staff areas, the AFK-118 combines a 100‑GPD reverse osmosis system with an 800 W heating circuit and a 90 W compressor cooler. It delivers up to 15 litres of hot water per hour at or above 90 °C and 2 litres of chilled water per hour at or below 10 °C. The steel‑and‑stainless body houses a 304‑grade stainless hot‑water tank, while a touch‑screen panel offers fixed‑volume dispensing, continuous pour, and TDS/ temperature readouts. The unit connects to a mains water line and standard 220‑240 V supply. Production takes place under ISO9001:2015 procedures, and CE, CB, and RoHS records are available.

Build & Internal Components

Galvanised steel body and 304 stainless steel tank

The body panels are galvanised steel, finished with a rust‑resistant coating that can be wiped down with standard cleaning solutions. The front fascia is stainless steel. Inside, the hot‑water vessel is made from 304 food‑grade stainless steel, welded by automated argon‑arc equipment to leave smooth, crevice‑free seams. A separate cold‑water reservoir is fed by the RO system and chilled by a 90 W compressor that cycles on a thermostat.

The dispense spouts are positioned above a removable drip tray. The rear of the unit includes connections for the water inlet and RO concentrate drain, plus a power cord. Ventilation grilles on the sides and back require at least 10 cm of clearance for proper airflow.

Filtration & Water Quality

Four filter cartridges work in sequence: a PP sediment filter, a CTO carbon block, the 100‑GPD RO membrane, and a post‑T33 carbon polisher. The RO stage removes 95–99% of total dissolved solids, heavy metals, and microbes. The wastewater ratio is approximately 1:1. When the system detects a drop in output quality or when the filter‑change timer expires, a reminder appears on the touch screen. Replacement cartridges are accessed by opening the lower front door; the housings unscrew by hand.

Touch Panel & Daily Operation

The touch‑sensitive LED display shows real‑time TDS and water temperature. Users select hot or cold water, choose a preset volume (e.g., 150 ml, 300 ml) or continuous pour, and start dispensing with a single press. A child‑lock icon on the screen, when activated, requires an extra confirmation before hot water is released; cold water is not affected.

In continuous‑pour mode, the flow stops when the user releases the button or when the internal tank runs low. The interface is responsive to finger contact, and the screen surface tolerates occasional splashes and wiping with a damp cloth.

Energy Use & Maintenance

The 800 W heating element draws full power only during tank heat‑up and recovery. Once the set temperature is reached, a thermostat switches the element off and cycles it intermittently. The compressor likewise operates in short bursts governed by the cold‑tank temperature. Together, the heating and cooling systems keep daily electricity consumption within a predictable range for a small commercial appliance.

Regular maintenance consists of wiping the exterior, emptying the drip tray, and replacing the filter cartridges at the intervals indicated by the on‑screen reminder. A set of replacement O‑rings is included with each new cartridge pack. The stainless steel tank does not require chemical descaling under normal use, but a citric‑acid rinse every 12–18 months helps maintain efficiency in hard‑water areas.

Factory Certifications & Quality

Each AFK-118 undergoes a factory inspection covering water‑circuit integrity, electrical safety, RO membrane output, and heating/cooling cycle performance. The certifications shown below are held by Aofukang and are valid for this model.

CE Certification
CB Certification
ISO9001 Certification
RoHS Certification
CCC Certification
Patents and Trademarks

The Cixi production site covers 7,153 m², houses 6 assembly lines, and produces over 300,000 units annually. In‑house sheet‑metal fabrication and injection moulding give the factory direct control over the steel cabinet and plastic parts. Customised branding, voltage, and packaging are offered with a minimum order quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How many people can this desktop purifier serve comfortably?

A: The 15‑litre‑per‑hour hot‑water output and 2‑litre cold‑water capacity suit a group of 8–15 people sharing a single point of use. For larger teams, the recovery time between heavy‑use periods may become noticeable.

Q: Does the touch screen react to wet fingers or gloves?

A: The capacitive touch panel works reliably with dry fingers. Damp fingers may still register, but pooled water on the screen surface can cause temporary unresponsiveness. Wiping the screen dry restores normal function.

Q: Can the RO concentrate line be connected to a bucket instead of a drain?

A: Yes, the concentrate tubing can be routed to a collection container. The container must be emptied regularly to avoid overflow. The flow rate is approximately equal to the purified water output, so a 10‑litre container fills in line with daily usage.

Q: What cleaning agents are safe for the stainless steel front panel?

A: A mild dish‑soap solution and a soft cloth are recommended. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or bleach‑based products, as these can dull the brushed finish over time. For stubborn marks, a dedicated stainless‑steel cleaner can be used sparingly.
